October 9, 2012: Darcy's 4th Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARCY!!!!!

Darcy began her birthday as usual, running in to wake up Mommy and Daddy. Then she ran back to her room to get the birthday gift she had noticed and brought it back to open with us.

While she was eating breakfast I said, "So you're 4 now!"

She replied, "No not yet."

"Yes, today is your birthday, so you're 4 now."

Darcy enthusiastically replied, "Already????" while bounciing in her chair. She knew it was her birthday, but she didn't realize she turned 4 as soon as she woke up!

Once breakfast was done she was jumping and leaping and checking out all the things she can do bigger, higher and better now that she's 4.  

Darcy spent the day at pre-school, being first in line all day! At the end of the day she handed out cookies to all her friends to celebrate.

After school we met Nanna at the toy store (Meli-Melo) and Darcy went on a shopping spree with her 3 gift cards!

Darcy's biggest purchases were Patchy Patch and this lovely new doll stroller with a sun shade.

Darcy also got this neat wand filled with glitter and sparkly shapes.

This little fairy was part of the shopping spree.

Darcy also got a lego store, 2 puzzles and gimp for making bracelets.

 When we got home she got another present: a bag full of Barbies!

After playing with Barbies and whirling Patchy Patch around the house in the new stroller, we had Darcy's requested supper of Rainbow Trout, french fries, cauliflower, salad and a dill pickle. 

Darcy drank her milk out of a "fancy glass."

Supper was followed by pink birthday cake. 

 

 After toys, food and balloons, it was finally time for bed. Darcy was not in the mood for sleep, though! She was very good about staying in bed, but she was so excited from her fun day and realizing that she's actually 4 now, I know it was hard for her sleep.
