For your 12th birthday you requested a pinata cake. OK!!
We just used box cake. I have found that yellow cake is could for "structural" cake as it is a bit more solid and tastes good. We baked the cakes in a loaf pan and small glass dish.
Stack the bottom layer on top of 4 sugar cones for the feet. The second layer needs a hole cut out in the middle for the candy to go in.

We used M&M's, Skittles and gummies. Mixing M&M's and Skittles was cruel and unusal punishment as you would bite in expecting the chocolate M&M and get a nasty sour Skittle!!
