“onculars” = Binoculars

This morning the canoe club that Mrs. Laroche is in was on our lake. When they passed by Mom's house they gave her a salute!

Cameron, Darcy and I went swimming, but Cam said he wouldn’t jump in without Marina. We tried the flutter board, the tube, and the boogie board and had a lot of fun.

Lately we have been inundated with birds at the bird feeders and some have flown into the windows. I have hung stained glass and put up window clings and wind chimes, but again I heard that awful “thunk.” Luckily none have been seriously injured that I know of. To prevent this from happening, we made some mobiles to hang outside the worst spots. We used a branch as the main support and scraps, like broken jewellery, bottle caps, bits of wire and things Kevin emptied out of his pockets at the end of the day, old bubble wands and strips of tin foil.  They look neat and seem to be working!

At the end of the day while I was BBQ’ing and cleaning up the yard (thanks for all the help, kids!), Darcy and Cam used the pool noodles to make a boat and a pair of water skis. It was really neat and funny!
