Beautiful, hot, sunny day! Cam, Darcy and I fed the
chipmunks this morning.
When we showed up, at the prescribed time, they were still setting things up and said they didn't need any help at the moment. Apparently the city had made a mistake in the schedule, but the baseball team didn't find out until that morning. We walked over to the water games while we waited for our shift.
Darcy loved it!
Cameron didn't want to get wet, but Darcy sure had a good time!
After that we headed back over to the table to see if they were ready for us...no. The. Istake was that the city told them to be ready for 11, when it really was only open to the public at 1:00, so we would have to wait quite a while before they needed anyone to help. Well...we tried, but on a 30 degree, I'd rather be at the lake!!!
Cam had a soccer game tonight.
We saw some fireworks and some fireflies tonight.
DAY 2
Melissa, Jason and their children, Maya and Gabriel, came to the lake. Why must it rain everytime Melissa comes to visit? My must it be torrential rain when it's Jason's first time at our cottage? WHY?!?!?
The yard by the lake was a pond and there was a river running
down from the road to the back door!
In a slight lessening of the rain, Maya was able to check out the critters at the feeder.
Hello Gogo!
Mostly we played indoors.
Darcy gave Melissa a make over!
I must say Jason is an optimist...he kept saying it would clear up - ha!
Kevin took Jason and the kids for a boat ride despite the rain. They could not come all the way up and not go for a boat ride! I know Gabriel was asking for one when the ice was still on the lake, LOL!
