Mom's main squeeze.
Darcy is now 7 months old. She weighs approximately 18 lbs and measures about 27". She does not have any teeth, yet. She can sit completely on her own for long periods of time. Although she can roll easily in both directions and sleeps often on her stomach, she is not crawling yet...but it won't be long! She enjoys standing with support and often puts her arms out to be either picked up or to pull herself to standing.
She babbles and laughs all the time. "Mama" is her angry/upset word and "dada" is her happy word. Figures. I'm pretty sure I heard her say "up" twice, but it could be a coincidence. She says "arrr-darrr" which could be an attempt at her name.
Her hair is growing, but we're not entirely sure what color it's going to be. In some light it looks blond (like her eyebrows), but sometimes it looks reddish or even brown.
Darcy's favorite toys are not toys at all...the cats!! The other day she was sitting on my bed and she started laughing. I turned to look and she was in hysterics over Tigger playing at the end of the bed. Although the cats make her very happy, they are also a big distraction when I am trying to nurse, feed her, get her dressed, put her to bed...they follow me everywhere!
Darcy has been to see her first movie at the cinema!! We went to a Stars & Strollers showing of State of Play. The lights are left on, but dimmed, in the cinema, the volume is lower and there are extra change tables and a microwave available. There's even stroller parking. Plus no one is going to complain about a crying baby :-)
