June 1, 2011: HOT!!! :-D

WOW! Sun and 27 C!!!!

Darcy and I went up to the cottage for the day and...got eaten alive.

We ended up having to stay inside the whole time, but with all the windows and doors open (with screens of course) we had a nice warm breeze through the house.

We had lunch and ice cream cones with Nanna. For the ride home we had the top down in the Jeep!

Then it got very, very windy. All my plants outside where blown over and I had to bring them all in. Kevin even said, "I'm surpised we still have a roof!"

Mom lost her power around 5:00, but we never lost ours even though we saw a Hydro truck up the street. (The advantage of being on the same grid as the hospital!)

On a much more important note, though, Darcy stayed DRY ALL DAY!!! She went with me to take Cam to school, to the hospital for a blood test, back home, up to the lake, all day there and back to pick up Cam and home - not a diaper or an accident in sight! We're very proud of her!

We're very proud of Cameron, too, as he brough home a 9/10 spelling test and announced that he will be moving up to the next level in the school's swimming program next year!

Way to go kiddos!!!!
