July 20, 2013: Amelia`s 11th birthday party

Awoke at 6 am to the sound of a wartime bomb alert...then realized it was Kevin`s alarm on his cell phone and my heart returned to normal.

No power. 

Kevin's playing golf in the Legion tournament today (hence the early alarm).

When Kevin left I got up and got buckets of water to flush with, got the kids up and pulled out the generator and gas can. I was able to run the fridge, a light and a fan for about an hour and a half.

We went to our "real" house for showers before heading to Amelia's party. There was no power or telephone at Charla's either!

 

Colby, Cameron, Cameron, Amelia & Darcy...all went for a SPLASH!

 

 

There were sunburned cheeks and shoulders all around today.

We didn't get home until about 9:30 and the power was on!!!
