GOTTA LOVE AUGUST

Darcy's turn to express her day on her food.

The dam. Just like Charla and me, Darcy loves to swim and play at the dam.

 

 We had a very brief, but sweet visit with Lisa, Brent and Logan (and Logan's friend).

Emerald and Sea Salt love having their cage on the porch and watching the birds at the birdfeeder.

Cam and Darcy made barricades and then tried to breach each other's with water. Thursday was on guard for Cam.

Darcy and I went for a morning kayak ride with Charla.

Darcy caught a big fish! In her words: "I out-fished Rob!"

Darcy joined a book club for the summer via the library. The last day they had a little show, a picnic and prizes. Darcy won an archeology kit.

Darcy made a birdfeeder for a Brownies badge. She watched for an hour and recorded all the visitors - there were a lot!

  Darcy and I made this water game from an old pallet and upcycled bits and pieces. There are tubes from our old pool, toys, plastic containers, even pieces of eaves trough!

Nanna and Darcy learned how to knit this summer! Actually Nanna knew how, but it had been over 40 years since she had tried, so Pat gave her a refresher course and voila! a scarf for Darcy's doll.

Last day before school starts: Mani-pedi day!
