Friday the 13th (July 13, 2012)

Cameron had a play date with his friend Collin today. Melissa, Maya, Gabriel, Darcy and I went to the Fair. We got there at 10:30, but at the front gate they told us the midway didn’t open until 11:00. At 11:15 the ticket booths still were not open, so we talked to one of the midway operators and he said the rides didn’t open until noon! So we had lots of time to explore the barns, petting zoo, tractors, and junk food! The kids got to go on a pony ride. We even had time for a picnic!

The kids went on the motorcycles, helicopters, Berry-go-round, carousel, the maze, and the dragon.

 

 

 

 

 

We played some games and everyone won a prize.

She was afraid and so she ducked down, which was just making it worse for her.

The operator stopped, gave her back her tickets and let her off. He gave the other kids a real ride!!

 

We spent the afternoon at the lake. Darcy tried to kayak all by herself for the 1^st time. We went for a boat ride when Kevin got home from work; Gabriel loved going “Vite! Vite!”

After supper Melissa, Maya and Gabriel headed home. 

I saw a flying squirrel again tonight and got pictures this time!
