HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY AMELIA!!!!!
Cameron had his friend Jason over for the day.
Darcy invited
Marina.
Our friend Dom was here with his son Olivier.
Kevin’s colleague,
Patrick (AKA Pattoo) came for the afternoon, too.

Jeff and Jacob came over and took Darcy for her 1st
canoe ride.
Afterwards they asked if she
could go play at the beach with Jacob, so she did. While she was gone I swam
out to the raft with Cameron, Jason and Marina. We had a lot of fun jumping,
diving and flipping into the water.

Marina and I kayaked to the beach to pick up Darcy. The boys
tried our little dinghy while we were gone.
We took the kids tubing and if the smiles on their faces were any
indication, they had a lot of fun!

When they were done we took Pattoo on a tour
of the lake. Down at the far end the sky turned ominous and then we saw
lightning. Since we were near the boat launch we headed that way for cover, but
Pattoo thought a place with so many trees was a bad idea, so I suggested
heading back to our friend Ron’s place, which wasn’t far. Kevin went full throttle and for once the
motor did not hesitate, it was running perfectly so Kevin and I looked at each
other said, “Let’s go for it!!!” We almost flew home, outrunning the dark
clouds. Of course the rain came just in time for me to BBQ supper.
Marina stayed for a sleepover. Darcy, Marina and I slept in
the guest house. We did pedicures and watched a Garfield movie. Halfway through
the movie, Kevin and Cameron came to get us, as there was a raging thunderstorm
and they wanted to make sure we were OK. Kevin also thought it was worth coming
down to the porch to see the lightning, which we did.
Nature sure does put on a great show.
