Dear Darcy,

My log book says:
Our first night at the cottage!
First BBQ: Chicken & Potatoes, mom made brussel sprouts. We each ate at our own places; together, but Covid-style.
Jeff, Chantal & Jacob here to visit. You and Jacob went kayaking and paddle boarding. You went for a swim.
Cam went for a Covid-style sleepover at Rowan's. We bought him a tent today so he could camp out in his own tent. ($150!!)
Carolyn and Luke stopped in (Graeme was at the sleepover, too.)
We watched Home Improvement.

Just a toad, cuz you like 'em.
I was doing the dishes at 9:00 pm when suddenly there was no water. Anywhere. The pipe coming off the pump blew off because the clamp broke. All of our clamps were too small. I checked Nanna's supplies, but same thing. We asked the neighbor. He found one that was too big. One that was too small. We tried the too big one with some splints, but it leaked too much. Cut off some garden hose and built up layers to make it fit. IT WORKED! Well good enough for overnight, anyway.

The Great Canadian Camp-in with Girl Guides of Canada. Our annual district camp was cancelled, as was camping across Canada. I registered Darcy and downloaded a kit. We built a blanket fort/tent over your bed.
At 7:00 pm you went online to watch a Facebook live virtual campfire. David Suzuki read a story.
