Dear Darcy,
The official health and safety rules forbid people from traveling to their cottages. The rules are beginning to loosen as people return to school and some return to work, but non-essential travel is still not allowed. However, our house and cottage are within the same county and we are allowed to travel within our home county. So we spent some time at the lake and made sure it survived the winter, but didn't stay for the long weekend like we normally would have.
BBBBBBRRRRRRRRR
My log book entry for this day said that we have been in a pandemic since March and that we attended a funeral on March 15th and then basically didn't leave the house again until Bum's burial on May 6th.
We did leave the house a few times for a drive, but that was soon forbidden. I continued to do the family errands and shopping for others, too, but stopped taking you with me.
Daddy worked, but that was it. No socializing.
Driving to the lake:
It was very nice to get all 4 of us out of the house and out of the backyard today!!
