Feb 12, 2011: Smelts with Aunt Eva & Tante Cathy

This weekend we went to Eva & Alonzo's house for lunch. This was a special event as Aunt Eva has been battling cancer for about a year. Her husband has also been ill and they have not been able to live in their home for several months.

This weekend they were home and Ron & Cecile (Grandpapa & Grandmaman) catered our lunch of smelts, potatoes, salad and more. This was a first for both Darcy and me - first time eating smelts. They were good!

On top of that, Ron and Eva's brother James was visiting from Gaspe and their sister, Cathy joined us for lunch, too. Tante Cathy has also been ill for several months, so today was definitely a special day.
