July 7, 2011: Fair Parade

A small crowd gathered in front of our house to watch the fair parade tonight. Melissa, Maya and Gabriel met us there early and we had snacks and played in the backyard on the swings and catching bugs. (No our grass is not long at all….)

Cameron was pleased when our new neighbours, his friend Olivier and his mom, came over.  Uncle Peter, Auntie Carol and Amelia also came to join us.

We were not disappointed with the parade. There were lots of candies handed out, horses, music, tractors, floats and big trucks. Two big trucks took the time to stop and let Olivier and then Cameron climb up and blow the horn.

Melissa, Maya and Gabriel followed us up to the lake and are staying for a couple of days.
