Arbrexpert came this morning to cut down the uprooted tree. Truly professional service. I’ll allow the video to speak for itself.

This is about as high as Patrice could go. The trunk got too narrow near the top.
At this point he was explaining to his partner what would happen next. He tied himself off to the tree next to it - the one that was supporting this tree in its branches. He tied a long rope to the treetop he was about to cut off and tossed the end down to his partner. He explained that his partner was just to guide the treetop as it fell down, primarily to make sure it didn't hit him or the tree he was tied to. He was not to try to slow it down at all or actually grip the rope - it would burn right through his gloves as it slid through his hands. In the video below you can see the results. |

After supper we went out for a boat ride and came across a boat that just didn’t look right. It turned out to be a boat we had given a tow on the weekend, but this time a tow wasn’t what he needed. His boat was SUNK in shallow water near the rocks.
